Original ART, Cute Elf Slave Girl Character, Steps + GIF

Good evening everyone! For this one I was told that I had to create a character who had recently been freed from Orc Slavery! I decided on making an elf.. and yea she looks a little disgruntled...So lets go through all the steps together! =D I hope you guys enjoy!

Step 1. ALWAYS start with a loose sketch! I did this based on a reference just so that I could get all the parts right :).

Step 2. Next is a more refined sketch! Much like sculpting you need to keep on working a sketch till your happy with it. Here you can see that I have started working on some more refined lines!

Step 3. The lines are complete! =D Now its time to start coloring!

Step 4. Before that I am sure to paint a grey background so that its easier to pick out shadows and highlights in the coloring process

Step 5. In this series I am working with greyscale first, and then Ill add the color later! Sometimes with digital this is easier... and sometimes its harder. I do prefer to do strait color though :).

Step 6. THE COLORRSSSS. I love it when the colors start to come out, many hours have transpired before this point :)

Step 7. Now many many hours have passed and I have been in the painting over process for some time now, the character is really starting to take shape. Next is just some more details!

Step 8. CHARACTER COMPLETEEE XD.
