The ship of souls

A broken ship in the sea of time
leaks of souls and abandoned rhymes
the souls of those who dwelt the night
those who couldn't bare the fight
between the righteous light of sacrifice
and the joyful bleak road to demise
the fight where one can't simply choose
if he'd burn to win or live to lose
so death they chose to respite from pain
and the ship received a heavy gain
it finally broke and scattered its load
and the waves of time has changed its road
The souls were caught by the spiteful fiend
but the ship still lurks where it can't be seen
to return eventually to its previous state, surfing in time guided by fate
collecting lost souls to prepare a feast
a lustful plate for the vile beast
