When I went to buy paints, I knew nothing about painting. The store clerk was all like "So what kind of paint do you want?" and I was like, "the art kind?".
Turned out there were different types of paint! Acrylic, oil, water, something called gouche... which I STILL don't understand or can pronounce. I didn't know the difference, so I bought both acrylic and oil. My first painting was just with acrylic. For my second painting, I figured I would paint something I had doodled a million times before; Spiderman!
Oil took forever to dry! So, seeing as how after one and half paintings, I was now a pro, I figured I could start mixing mediums and do webs in acrylic, thinking somehow that would look cool if I really gunk them up like real webs. It didn't turn out too well:
I also made this ridiculous thing for my boxing studio:
It's a butterfly bee, get it? GET IT? uhh.. they didn't either, and obviously did not accept it on their premises lol.
