A drawing for Dwelling

In this post you can see the ink illustration 'Ions' that I created for Chapter Forty-Five of @dougkarr's amazing novel Dwelling, a crime novel set in New York’s Lower East Side.

Crossing the hall and unlocking Mioko's second dwelling, they pulled back the inky curtains, letting daylight spill into the darkroom for the first time in years.

Splatter, splash, spray!

The residual silver ion particles lining the countertops and floors-remnants from thousands of sheets of photographic paper-were suddenly energized, transforming back to atoms and creating a galaxy of imperceptible black pinpoints.

Awesome, thank you for the visit!

My students on our Summer Art Class really love the splatter technique. They're reactions are priceless every time they do that.

Yes it is fun to create, and think the perfect match for the description of Mioko's darkroom floor in the novel.

I would have lot of fun bursting the bubbles ! ^_^ Did you ?

No, I let them burst/collapse on their own. But yes, that would have been more fun!

A work with a technique so simple, but very, very beautiful. I love the final result. Thanks for sharing, @opheliafu.

Thank you @aurodivys!
