Yeah,the original spam they send soldiers from back in the old times. That's where the word spam originated i think, when they sent the soldiers too much.

You are SO GOOD! I agree with most of your own critique - I think if you can get the Narwhale's tummy to go lower and the arch in the back to be more dramatic so that his tail can loop back around it would probably feel a little more dimensional in regard to the planar space! But I really love it so far - it's very imaginative and creative - I just love your style! :D

I think my sketch is worth some editing effort, so I'm glad you agree with the narwhal comment. I want this one to be better than my other illustrations.

You haven't mentioned the spambot, that's my secondary area of concern. Do you think it's worth re-shaping it? Maybe a little more bendy like a cartoon. I really like the spam head though...

Hey thank you so much friend :) I REALLY appreciate your comment - I am kind of pinching myself - the hummingbird painting is very much like - wow, I did that? lol you know those moments after you create something new and you are in love with it until a year from now and you look back and think "what was I thinking" lol.. yeah..

Sorry about not mentioning spambot - I really liked that part, I love the head and the details you got there. What about trying to make the back line of his "shell" look like it is slightly bent in at a single point, like you mention.. the thrust from the Narwhale's nose coming from behind I would think would cause it to have a point somewhere near the middle where it would buckle a bit and then you would see some creasing there on the side where the metal was bulged out and bending due to the impact.. does that make sense? I think the edits there would be pretty minimal in order to make it a little more dynamic and show that energy that is occuring... I think this might also call for the front to have a bit more of a curved line.. maybe? I can't wait to see how you progress it - I just love your illustrative style!! It will look awesome when you are done I just KNOW it! :)

Hi @j-vo, I was kinda burned out on regular projects, so I was drawing a lot last night. Here's step 2 in the drawing...

I need to make the pig's face smaller and write "SPAM" across the top chest area. Having part of it tattooed on his arm doesn't seem to be working?

Maybe make his hoof bigger and tip his bag of upvotes downward a bit.

I'm happy with the narwhal now! :D

I LOVE where this is going!!! You are killing it.. ok so your thoughts on the tatoo and upvote bag..

Tattoo: I think it is working where it is if you want to keep it there, the only thing I would do to make it work a little better or visually translate, is that little part of the p that is on his shoulder.. I think it needs to be slighly larger than the part of the p in the metal, it also should shift down some - this will give the proper illusion that this little part of the p is moving dimensionally up and over this part of the arm that is a layer above the suit and thus closer to the viewer, think of it like a pattern on a piece of fabric, and how when a fold happens a piece of a pattern will look a little disjointed from the rest of its pattern below the fold (does this make sense.. its hard to translate into text without being there to point at things lol)
the upvote bag and hoof - I agree with you making his hoof a bit bigger. you see the little slit you drew in his hoof? I think the fabric of the bag instead of going completely behind it, can you draw it so it looks like the bag is going between that slit, like between two fingers? the back of the bag could go down a bit to represent the weight of the coins in it, that way the top of the bag opening would be higher above, also giving some visual clues to the heaviness of the bag weighting the bottom down.

I like the size of his head as it is, if you can play around with that disjointed-ness of that little piece of P that goes onto his arm, I think it will work where you have it. Or you can leave his head large and have some sort of flag that comes out of the top of his head or something that says spam on it? Not sure if that would look as cool or not..

The Narhwale looks great - I agree and wouldn't change anything about him. YAY! Great job, that bend in the back of his can suit looks PERFECT, really gives the feeling that he got impaled with some force in that impact lol. :D
