Hello, Crypto futurist community!
My name is Phil Johnson and I am a multidisciplinary artist. I work professionally in the theater world in the Pacific Northwest but I also create visual and digital media online as well. I like to focus on technology, the future, and how these things affect the human condition. My art is the result of a 20+ year study of many different forms and mediums from high concept to pop art, with the aim to create an expression that is immediate, accessible and relatable. My visual work leans heavily toward cartooning as my heroes growing up were Bill Watterson and Gary Larson. I loved how they could capture a complex idea with a simple image and that is the tradition I would like to keep. Some of my work is complex and some is simple, but all of it is rooted in deeper meaning. I love the future ( I talk about it a lot) and that is what brought me to this space. I found out about cryptocurrency a few years ago and was immediately intrigued and when a friend turned me towards Steemit I realized it was the perfect place for me to be. I am a creator, I love to write draw and design entertaining and amusing things but unfortunately the world doesn't compensate artists the way it should. For some time now the internet has been a bittersweet place for Artists. We create and share and get amazing exposure, but receive little payment. Steemit resolves this dilemma. I plan to share with you my work and continue to keep you updated, and I hope that if you appreciate what I share you will give me a simple upvote. There are not many artists in the cryptosphere (yet) so this is a new, exciting and scary venture for myself and people like me.
