Draw and paint with EYESHADOW. Because... why not!

Today I found a bunch of old make up and wondered what would happen if I made a drawing/painting with it. I thought why not take pictures while I am add that. I know my camera is not the best so the colors are a bit off but I do like the result and I might use the eye - shadows more.

I started with drawing a rose and butterfly with a pencil before  I started to use the eye make up.

After that I decided that the flower had to be blue and the butterfly pink with a hint of purple.

I made the whole flower light blue at first.

After that it was time to bring in the shades and darker colors to make the flower more alive.

Time to start on the butterfly. I used my lightest shade of pink to fill in the white of the butterfly.

Then I used a bit darker pink to bring it to life.

Before I started on the back ground I also used some purple in the butterfly. And I totally forgot to take a picture of that because I can only concentrate on one thing :D

I wanted the back ground to be soft yet not white so I used soft yellow, a bit orange and a tad green.

The end result!

It was fun to try something new but to be honest, its not really that handy because your whole table will be covered with shiny eye-shadow and so will your fingers. AND... you can't really touch the painting because eye-shadow does not dry like paint. So every time a naughty finger touches it the painting changes, which can be cool as well. I would recommend to put it behind glass if you want to keep your work as it is and never to touch it again :D

After your rant you didn't give up, and you did something that you have never done before...isn't that the best thing in life: expanding your horizon all the time.
