Every stone has art inside it! It's the task of the sculptor to discover it!
Red red stoneeeeeeeeee!
It's been a while for me to share one of my stones! The extra fun part of this stone is that I created it myself! I did not steal it from a garden nor did I buy it! I made it from clay weeks ago! Yaaaaay, anyways. This time I wanted to work with some different colors than I normally do. So, Red it became!
I used red spay paint from the Action! ( € 1,74 per set of 3 ) And a stone made of clay! A simple brush to cover the stone with red paint. The back side of a pencil for dods and the tip of the same pencil!
It makes me so calm to create these mandala's on stones and the end result is almost always amazing! I love to listen to some music while I play around with the dots!
The only thing I don't like about projects like this one, is that you have to wait in between for the paint to dry! You can dod in wet paint but to be sure you get the right result you will have to let the paint dry before you add a new, smaller dot on top. On the other hand, this gives me time to eat cookies, watch a few youtube video's and or to cook.
Holy dots in paint!
I won't lie, when I am done with a stone, I will not dot for at least a few days because my whole head is dotted and when I sleep I still see dots! Now, I love dots BUT... Not to too much you know! I also want to dream about cookies and cola and handsome snakes!
Because I made this stone myself from air drying clay, this stone is much lighter in weigth then the stones I bought in the store and paid like a kidney for them! With one pack of clay I could create 4 huge stones and 5 smaller flat stones for only 0.89 cents! It just takes a few days before the clay is dry enough to use them!
I put them all on a plate on my table so that I can see them all every day! The mix of colors is really a bright spot in my living room. I might even create a few more stones and hand them out as Christmas gifts this year to my friends and family!
Thank you for reading my post!
Best wishes

I love these! Since I don't have stones in my garden I may have to make my own as well. Do you think they would survive the rain?

If you seal them with a really good primer it should be water proof. But sure its really a good brand. Mine lay in the rain at times and stay good.
