Epic stops of the Soviet period

in art •  6 years ago

I love and admire architectural solutions. They manifest emotions and extraordinary imagination.
If you drive through the former Soviet republics, you can capture the unique in its innovation and madness buildings — bus stops. Such diversity and such almost personal approach to each stop can not be found in any other country.

Everyone is surprised by his monstrous and the dissonance that arose from such an unusual design, standing, in fact, in the middle of the field. Who was created by such a design refinement? In whose imagination was this phenomenal project born?

One of the reasons that makes these stops even more unique is the fact that they were all created in the heyday of the USSR, which was characterized by a predilection for brutal practicality and extreme disapproval of unnecessary design additions. Perhaps these roadside pavilions were a kind of symbol of the rebellious spirit of local architects and artists who want to Express themselves and break through in their work through the dull trends of urban development.
