The Cosmic Lottery! (Space Edit)

YOU are a WINNER

In fact, we are all winners.
We've won the Cosmic Lottery.
In an almost impossible feat the planet was at the precise place throughout time for creating the conditions of life.
The odds of us being here, floating through infinity surrounded by nothing are impossible.

Someway somehow we made it here.

Now.
To this very moment.

A Quick Summary of How I Made This - in 9 steps!

gif images :

#1 The Base

I propped my GalaxyS5 on my book bag and took several pictures of myself using the self timer. Once I had one I liked I opened it up in Photoshop CC.

#2 Filling Up The Space

I wanted the image to be a little wider so I mirrored both sides

#3 Removing The Mirroring

I used the brush tool to simply paint over some blues and cover up the really obvious mirrored clouds.

#4 The New Base

I like how the grass is still mirrored but the sky is more subdued.

#5 SPACE

Grabbed an awesome nebula picture and just pasted it on a new layer. I erased a hole where I'm standing in the picture.

#6 Blending Mode

Boom. To make it blend nicely I simply changed the layer blend mode from "normal" to "screen"

#7 MORE SPACE

I knew I wanted to see Earth in the image - as if another planet was where the moon is.

#8 Blending Mode 2.0

Change the blending mode of the layer to "screen" again.

#9 BOOM.

Little fun edit! Added some filters/color corrected.

Just Fun

I usually do these when I want to create something in-between drawings/paintings. They are quick, fun, and I love putting Space scenery in everything! Expect more space-edits for sure!

I love it....thanks for sharing...ps I am pretty sure I saw an unidentified bright stationary shiny light (not a planet or a star) next to the moon two nights ago and it for sure wasn't there the next night..so much mystery and beauty....
