Mario Henrique lives and works in Portugal as a designer and a painter. An awarded creative director with +10 years of experience, he turned to painting 3 years ago. Since then, he held solo exhibitions in Portugal and Brasil, and got listed in private collections in various countries. He also owns a personal studio/gallery, open to general public, at Cascais Marina - near Lisbon. Mario's paintings, mostly contextualised in contemporary figurativism, aim at capturing intimate and spontaneous expressions through quick brush strokes and acrylic drippings, where the subjects portrayed often look back at the observer. He is currently working in a series of paintings inspired by the Adam Curtis’ documentary “Hypernormalisation”. More information about Mario Henrique can be found at his website: www.mhc.pt.
