This is one I've been working on for a year already. It came to me on the very verge of my little sabbatical and didn't end up getting started until much later. I try to be professional, so I would have forced my way through it if the client had wanted me to, but he insisted I take my time, so I did. I still wish I'd had it in me to finish sooner. I am happy with it. It's only about 12x18", so those details are really teeny tiny. Here's a close up of the beers, my finger for scale.
Yeah. One of the reasons it took me so long (beyond needing time to work on my stories/recharge myself/deal with covid stress) is that I needed miniscule paint brushes, and didn't want them picked for me by staff during the lockdown. Had to suck that up, though. Lockdown's going on three months here in Toronto, this round.
Now here's a selfie I took with my magnifying glasses. I can only really stand to wear them for a couple hours at a time, so you can imagine how long this one stretched out for!
I have time, luckily! And my favourite podcasts to listen to... Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, Comedy Bang Bang, Improv For Humans.
