She, the alien, is the subject of study. It's a wide human fear that we're the subject of unwelcome experimentation. Maybe that's our latent understanding of the way we've treated the earth around us coming out. We see this as the frightening singular outcome of advanced society - but we might be the subject, for once.

And yet, she's peaceful. Nude, and unafraid, floating in some sensory deprivation void.

I wanted to try something more minimalistic, as I made this. As with any of my works, I think about what will happen to them if they don't end up finding homes. I imagine I'd eventually add figures into this, standing around. But we'll see. Here's a close-up of her face;

This has the germs of a classic cheesecake/pinup to it, I could totally see it as nosecone art on Capt. Kirk's personal shuttle craft. Really digging how it is reminiscent of both Orion slave girls from Trek and the floating scene from Barbarella.
