Hi, this is my original artwork, I have full rights to share this image.
It's not computer generated, took 3 months just to draw (archival India ink), and then took about 6 months to paint.
My paints are my own proprietary formula, which allows me to make the raised textural elements "The Dots" that you see here highlighted by the setting sunlight in my old studio.
I have a video of the progress of this piece, happy to share it too!
Thanks, Aurora
Very nice piece, thanks for sharing. Your hard work is wonderful

I worked with a photojournalist, during the 6 months of painting this piece, I had a camera Velcro-Ed to my ceiling and I took a few frames and a bit of video each day.
If you watch closely, you will notice the light change with the seasons, from winter at the beginning (bare branches) to summer at the end , and my wardrobe changes too!
Thanks for watching.

You mix your own paints? That's remarkable! Did you teach yourself how to do it through experimentation?

Yes it was all trial and error like a mad scientist :)
I highly recommend Guerra Paint and Pigments , they’re located in NYC but they have great customer service and you can call them up and ask them how to achieve desired effects.
I went there, got some great products and advice, and then started experimenting, in 2008 or so. I make my own base out of 3 different clear media, then add drops of pure pigment to make the colors as intense or pale as i want.
The trickiest paint is done to make the raised dimensional dots on several of my pieces; it requires a 2 part polymer thickener that is very finicky! But worth it for great results.
