Thanks my friend. Yes, yesterday was a good day and the cycling trip was great and productive finding those shots of the graffiti :)

I picked up my prescription today of 10 kg of powdered formula for the elemental diet. Fck, that's three weeks of nothing but this powder rehydrated in water. 500g/day in 2.5 litres of water! Yikes, this is going to be difficult. I start tomorrow.... but for today I'm treating myself to a nice sweet potato/quinoa burger for dinner (with salad of course) and a fat scoop of ice cream lol

P.s. yes, cheers to Matt. & thank you for the healing energy.... I'm gonna need it as the bacterial load dies and poisons my system. I expect week 2 & 3 to be pretty bad

I admire your courage & dedication to your healing journey πŸ™πŸ’–

I will definitely keep the supportive reiki flowing BeautyFull ✨✨✨

So sorry you have been ill. You do look pale in the pictures. Good luck with that regimen. Be careful...if you don't feel well on the diet, make sure you get yourself checked out. Got to take care of the kidneys, etc.
Forgive the advice... I'm a mother and grandmother. Can't stop myself.
Be well.

Hi A G Moore. I'll be careful, don't worry. All the research I've done says it will feel pretty bad as the bacterial load dies and poisons my system. I expect week 2 & 3 to be pretty bad, but then it's supposed to get better and after three weeks of this treatment there is an 88% success rate of killing the bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine. You have to realize I've lived with this for 6 years. Six years of chronic fatigue, nausea, muscle aching and energy/cognitive decline. That's not really living, at this point I'm willing to go through a lot of discomfort in treatment and if it works it will be worth it.

Hi Rebecca :)

I'm feeling a bit worse for wear in muscles today for doing such a big distance on the bike but it was worth it for the health kick and good vibes... and sun light :) I'm afraid it's not really the beginning of feeling better with this treatment coming up, all the research I've done says it will get worse before getting better but it will be worth it if it works.

I love this! I am an art enthusiast myself, and there’s something so impressive to me about street art. It takes a specific level of skill and commitment to do well. What an incredible find on your bike ride! 😁

Β  Β· Β 6 years agoΒ

Yeah, I love street art too. I have never been able to express myself creatively like that in a visual form, my creativity comes out in writing. It impresses me even more for that reason when I see great art like that just put up on the side of a building for everyone to enjoy for free :)

I'm so sorry to hear that Jose. I hope you heal and get better. I've been in the same boat work-wise. Unable to work much. Fingers crossed this new treatment I start tomorrow solves the problem :-)

That skate park looks really nice. I like the art work.

Β  Β· Β 6 years agoΒ (edited)

Yeah it was really cool and chilled out down there. Glad you enjoyed the pics m8 :)

Great to hear you got out and about, memories are bitter/sweet but those no longer with us would hate us to waste the time we have.

Good luck with new prescription, sure hope to hell it overcomes the problem.

BTW that skate park has amazing art all around!

Hi Joan :)

memories are bitter/sweet but those no longer with us would hate us to waste the time we have.

Absolutely, and I feel like the tragedy of my friends death would be even more so if I hadn't learned anything from going through that. I'm pretty sure Matt would agree, life can be shit, but it will only get better if you strive to make it so.

Thanks for the good luck. I picked up my prescription today of 10 kg of powdered formula for the elemental diet. Hey, @raj808, so glad you were feeling up to getting out in the sunshine, and then writing a post about it. I sure hope the treatment you're heading into does wonders for your health and that you can really get back on your feet for good! You've had your fair share of suffering, my friend!

I wasn't aware you lost your best friend. That is so very sad. I lost someone very dear to me about four years ago as well. (My cousin who was like a sister to me.) There really aren't any special words or platitudes that can help in these circumstances. It's just hell. But I guess I do find myself appreciating life a little more, making sure I stop and smell the roses, and make sure I tell people in my life how much I love them. We are lucky to be here for however long we are!

Hugs and healing vibes.

Hi @jayna

Yes, it was a nice day out in the sun. I suffered for it the next 3 days though with muscle aches and fatigue but I don't care... it was worth it 😎

I sure hope the treatment you're heading into does wonders for your health and that you can really get back on your feet for good!

Me too, and thank you for your kind words Jayna, you are a true friend πŸ™‚ In regards to the treatment, I'm on day 2 now and I wrote a comprehensive blog about my condition today and am going to put an in-depth one up tomorrow specifically about the elemental diet. It's 88% effective so I am keeping my hopes up and fingers crossed.

As for Matt. Well, one thing that has got me a little down is that I can't go drown my sorrows with the third out of the '3 musketeers' my friend Tom. The three of us were pretty much best mates and Tom gets super depressed at this time of year. But it's all about pub culture here and I can't even have a coffee let alone a beer. I'm gonna convince him to knock over and play some PlayStation or something in 2 weeks when it's Matts anniversary.

I do find myself appreciating life a little more, making sure I stop and smell the roses, and make sure I tell people in my life how much I love them. We are lucky to be here for however long we are!

Yep, absolutely right. It is the only positive that comes out of the tragedy of a friends death.

Thanks again for the hugs and healing vibes Jayna πŸ˜„
