How to paint a simple galaxy with Copic & Various Ink

How are you today?
I want to show you a little galaxy tutorial I've made last year! ^_^
I'm more or less a Copic artist, so what could be any better than making tutorials of different uses of Copic? So this is what my galaxy background looks like:

For those who have no idea what a Copic is here is a short explanation:
Copic is a brand of alcohol based markers which are quite popular in the art and especially manga community. There are different kinds and shapes of Copic markers: Classic, Sketch, Ciao and Wide. The Classic marker has a square shape and has two tips with a chisel and a fine nib. Sketch and Ciao have a chisel and a brush nib which makes it easier to color. Wide is a pretty bold marker with a huge chisel nib. You can refill all these markers with Various Ink up to 15 times. I personally like to use Various Ink for interesting effects like in this tutorial. I will make another blog post for Copics in the future with more details.

Here is the full tutorial of the galaxy background! (Don't mind my dead expression lol)
It's a video I uploaded on Youtube. You can just click it :D

I hope it inspires you to try out something new. You can try to use different colors - the technique is always quite similar. If you like to show me your creations you can use the hashtag #hellorambu on instagram! I would love to see your results ❤

That was awesome :) Hadn't tried marker inks directly, also didn't think of using rubbing alcohol for blending. Great stuff!!!
