The Chaos and the Calm is a digital art series that explores the place of the individual in the modern world. I have used Photoshop to superimpose real world images with photography of my own to produce artworks that highlight the ever changing narratives around us. Themes include politics, war, sustainability, and identity.

I don't know if I am entitled to critique but I feel your need for feedback as being an artist is lonely work sometimes
I love the dynamic opened composition and the fact that the second silhouette has more focus and contrast- I would lower the opacity even more for the others or glitch parts of them or overlay some of the trees in contrast color- but that is me I love busy fragmented compositions

Hey, thanks a lot for that! Yeah, I think the biggest problem on these platforms is that most people are only interested for the sake of aesthetics and often don't provide valuable feedback on how you might improve as an artist. I appreciate you taking the time :)

Liking your work. My critique would be that you need to play around more with isolating some of the different layers. My issue is that where you have more than 2-3 different images overlayed on each other, you are getting quite a lot of distortion. For example, I would cut out the female figure a bit more sharp (using wacom tablets really helps with this) and also position some of them a bit differently so as not to have the figure on top of an already black column. Sometimes you need to see certain things clearly to really have a clear chaos / calm.
