Chinese ethnographic notes

My acquaintance with China began with tea. Once I was at tea ceremony, and then again and again... Chinese tea has become a part of my life. Of course I dreamed of seeing tee homeland once.

I was lucky. The hand of fate pulled my name out of the magic hat. I went to China together with the expedition of Artemy Lebedev. Every day we woke up and went to watch, walk, communicate with the country and its inhabitants.
This is a project of ethnographic notes and photographs of the most interesting places I visited.

In Chinese mythology, the fish symbolize abundance, wealth and harmony.

There are many interesting and emotional faces in China.

The people we meet on the road are very smiling and open to newcomers.

This place is called "Terem of book intimacy" - 書 隱 樓 - a magic manor in the heart of Shanghai. 2000 sq. meters , surrounded by a 12-meter-high wall, where in a small room there lives a woman - Go. All the rest is abandoned scenery, impregnated with the spirit of antiquity and magic.

The hieroglyph "Happiness" adorns one of the 12-meter walls in this house.

In China there are traditional places where newlyweds come to make a so-called wedding album. One of these places is the Thames-city.

Zhugezun is a small village in the middle of lakes. Houses are packing in small streets. Wherever you go you will still find yourself in the heart of the village. This is the lake in form of Yin Yan.

This place is next to the border of Tibet. There is a lot of space and along the roads there are hills. The landscape reminds me of Nepal.

I really love his strange stories and mystical legends. China made an indelible impression on me.
