Who Is Your Favourite? Contest 1 | Who Is Your Favourite Disney Princess or Disney Character? - My Entry

Taking part in contest on Steemit is fun because the winning prize is SBD. 😄 Many thanks @angiechin28 for initiating this ‘Who Is Your Favourite?’ contest, this is brilliant as it can go so many ways.

The theme this round, Favourite Disney Princess or Disney Character is an interesting one because it is nostalgically familiar to all of us. At some point or another, growing up, we would have watched a Disney animation. Even to this day, I am still very much a Disney fan. So which princess or character is my favourite? Well, it is none other than Dumbo, the flying elephant!

Dumbo is the son of Mrs Jumbo. He was specially delivered atop the roof of a train car by Mr Stork to Mrs Jumbo, who was expecting a bundle of joy. Dumbo was named as such by the other elephants after his enormous, floppy ears were revealed. From then on, Dumbo was constantly being laughed at, mistreated and teased because of his appearance.

Why is Dumbo my favourite character?

1. Elephant is my favourite animal! 😊

2. Dumbo loves to be in the company of his mother. All he wanted was to be reunited with her when they were separated.

3. In the face of adversity, Dumbo continues to be a sweet and playful elephant.

4. Although easily scared, Dumbo is quick to forget his fears and faces his challenges head on with confidence.

5. Dumbo is trusting and faithful to his best friend, Timothy the mouse.

6. Despite being hurt and humiliated, Dumbo is forgiving and never resented those who bullied him.

To honour Dumbo, my favourite Disney character, I decided to sketch and paint it using watercolour. For the finishing touch, I used black marker to complete the outlining.
