🎨 "The Walk" - graphite pencil, watercolor and acrylics on reverse side of glass

Equipped with a vehicle to make walking a whole different experience, this lady shows, how a theme is usually a bit exaggerated in my paintings:

This is an older painting on glass I did back around the year 2000..

This is great! I really admire her for being able to balance and walk on these!
It's pure admiration to the skill of a woman, being able to balance in a world that asks too much from her. Manage to run a family, a job, a husband-lover and also take care of herself is difficult. Although to me she is more the type of an independent, count-on-her-abilities kind of woman. She looks so strong and sure of herself...

You are absolutely right... quite the balancing act, but she has the (inner) strength and (will) power to do it..

I wanted to say this for some time already: pretty ingenious to lead your title with a palette emoji; it shows up beside the steemit favicon - I won't copy you, will have to find one that fits me ..... was thinking about the clown face .... nah

Hehe... got it first πŸ˜‹Curious what you'll choose in the end..

Wish one could make ones own!

I did, but just for my latest 'Facebook Rant' post β–Ί πŸ‘Ί

How?

same way as your 🎨 - from http://getemoji.com/#symbols - I picked this guy πŸ‘Ίbecause he looks pissed off, just as I was

Ah, I see.... I thought you made your own..

So how do you do it? do you paint at both sides of the glas to create some depth or is it painted at one side only? Also, how does waterpaint stick on glas? Isn't that very difficult?

I normally only paint on one side, generally what in the end is the backside. And yes, its pretty difficult!

Another WOW piece from you!
The perfect legs !!
When i was young, i mean a kid, the first thing i started drawing was a women's foot. i found the shape gorgeous. This drawing of yours reminds me of that. nice memories. thank You! :-)

Obviously a woman of excellent taste πŸ˜‰ Interesting subject for a kid's drawing, but I completely agree with you!

My Gosh she really makea walking more fun :]

I wonder if the same lady has figured out a method of flying... maybe she can take off those heels and they work as a double act... also useful for flight !!!!:]

I really wish I could do what you do.. such an imaginative brain !

Hahaha.. well, flying would certainly a great extra feature for this device. Actually I did do another version of this painting, where you can see even more of the machinery at the bottom. I really should do a flying version!

Love your animated Poetry! πŸ‘

You have sooo much material , all very different from the other but all having your flair :]
There should be a book with them all!!!

I am SO happy you enjoyed that last post !!!!

Been thinking about a book for decades, but every time I'm ready for it, my style changes and I'm not sure if I'm content to have earlier periods in the same book 😜

Them legs!! Amazing, and as always, very imaginative and exciting.

Thanks a lot for stopping by! Your appreciation means a lot to me 😘

It seems so ordinary when you see just the top of the image, but when you scroll down the whole curiosity of the artwork reveals itself. Another masterpiece.
