πŸ”Ž "Zoom in" - a closer look at the RevelationsteemCreated with Sketch.

in art β€’Β  7 years agoΒ

Whenever I see a picture here I really like, I want to see it as big as possible, in high resolution. But a lot of artists, like painters and photographers are somewhat reluctant to provide high res files, as there is always a chance, that someone uses those pictures without permission.

Nevertheless, I invite you, to take a closer look at some of my works, like the "Revelation" here.

Large files ahead... may require some patience ;-)

glad you encouraged a closer look. Only looked at the first face so far, but woooow. πŸ‘€ so much detail I missed before! Every little hair around her ears hand painted. I didn’t notice the dissymmetry of her face and even her accessories before. I like it. Makes her very humanly beautiful.

Haha... that's funny, how you added those eyes! Was a major project and the portrait was difficult, as I knew the girl only from the photos she sent. We finally met a few years ago, when she came to visit Germany and it was interesting to see for real.

She’s lovely and you are, as ever, incredibly talented and skilled.

Wish I had your talent abd skill with words... always carry a wonderful feeling, thank you 😘

😘

I LOVE taking a closer look, and I wish people could get to the details I put in on some of mine (each pixel drawn with care) but I havent been able to translate the details from my art app Artflow through email. you can only zoom in so far for some reason on the copies for some reason I have yet to discover. This especially bothers me on my Mega monster and mother pic. ramble. sorry lol! love your work, havent seen one I dont yet!

Glad you enjoyed the closer look. Your work is beautiful and I would like to see it in higher resolution. Don't know, how one could accomplish that. Are you on dada.nyc?

Thanks so much :)
I am not on Dada yet, but I did go take a peak and I love the exquisite corpse idea they have expanded on ! Group art, its got to be fun

It's a pleasure to'' put my nose'' closer and be able to see your brush stokes and delicate lines. Thank you @reinhard-schmid, but still wish to see it in live once :)

Glad an artist of your caliber shows such interest in my work. I too hope we can meet some day and enjoy each others work :-)

I do enjoy in your work since I find it original with recognizable handwriting, not to mention painting skills. And I learned long time ago that best way to know someone's work is when you see it in live. That's why i been taking trips to museums when ever I could. And with this close up moments you gave me possibility to take a sneak peek into your art :)
Hope the day we meet will come :)
p.s. - I sound so serious when describing your work :))) And I am not that much serious person

Ohh god, love your art. I say it again and again, i love that noveau/steampunk style of yours, and that realism, god! i'm a huge fan of your art. keep sharing your work <3. Greetings from Venezuela ^^

Greetings back to Venezuela, and thank you for your kind compliments :-)

Huh I must have caught this right at the witching hour as it rolled out of payout period, I was able to resteem it but it doesn't look like my upvote is registering. Thanks so much for providing the high res versions, I really appreciate it. I definitely think a lot is lost if you can't see the fine detail. I always "view image" even if an author doesn't make it clickable and am bummed out when an image is only provided in 700 px width or something ridiculous like that. Of these three the bottom one is really speaking to me, really love the shapes in the gearing. Much love - Carl

Not to worry about the upvote, your beautiful comment and the resteem mean a lot more to me :-)

Feel the same way with small images many times. That's what gave me this idea of providing really high resolutions, up to original size. Glad you like the concept.

The gears and wheels are always my favorite part in the painting ;-)

Spectacular!!! Your realism is great! The incredible details !!! Congratulations!!!!

Cordial thanks to a master painter!

Beautiful work.

Thank you very much :-)

Oh my, I'm really impressed what a beautiful portrait. I really wish I could draw this way @reinhard-schmid

I think, if you really wanted to and took 3000 hours to work on one painting, like I did there, you could do it too :-)

Awesome painting. I love the details and originality. Looking forward to seeing more of your work :)

Thanks a lot for your kind compliments. You can see a lot more on my Sola account

Very interesting to be able to have a closer look to this huge painting. But the most impressive thing is still to stand in front of the original. I have deepest respect for all artists who participated in this show - I could never manage finishing a painting of this size!

Thank you Sigrid. I think its more a matter of patience than anything else to do a painting like that... you could do it too, if you really wanted to :-)

This is a great idea, @reinhard-schmid. I always thought it was so people wouldn't have to have a large image to load, I never thought about people taking it. However, I am of the school that if someone want's to take your stuff it's a compliment because, hey, they must love it to use it, right?

I should follow suit maybe when I finish my Singularity bot with Dog, I'll save sections really large. You are always inspiring me on here.

Isn't it funny on here too, I never really get or understand what drives upvotes. I meant I just do the same thing all the time as far as commenting and posting but sometimes I've got over 50 sbd and other days it'll be $1, it's a funny old world isn't it? But, I've earned so much here in the sense of finding people, like you, who are so inspiring and am feeling a part of an artist community for the first time in a long time. This is the prefect environment for a self confessed introvert artists.

Not sure why i just rambled on here about that, but well, I just feel inspired to chat with other artists on here. :)

Now about your closeups...breath taking. The torn paper hand is genius, the effect of the paper with the touched of light and the soft gentle brushwork on her face, I love that sort of touch. You can tell when an artist is truly in love with their canvas. Well done, per usual.

You write some of the best comments and I don't know, what impresses and inspires me more... your visual art or your writing!

Clicked on every picture in your last post, but so far none of them enlarged... can't wait to see the big close ups.

Hahaha.. yes, the upvotes are quite mysterious and I certainly haven't figured out the secret. Sometimes a simple picture on bescouted is more successful than something I put together with a lot of work, pictures reworked to fit and lots of text (by my standards).

Thing is, as artists, we want to create and in a way, a post is also a creation, a little bit, as if we were painting something. And as artists, of course we crave attention... somehow one thinks a bigger effort deserves more of that, but then again, maybe the effort was already made with the artwork the post is about..

And I agree with you, a big part of the reward here is the "family", other artists we come to know and with whom we share our ideas or even just chat a bit. Makes us feel less alone in our ivory towers ;-)

really impressive work @reinhard-schmid, so glad to learn of your work through a resteemed in @donnadavisart 's feed!

Thank you for coming over here. @donnadavisart told me about you too and this way I found your blog with your beautiful art :-)

beautiful ,you are one of the bests , i always enjoy , and yes you have SO much patience in your art <3

Haha.. patience.. in painting maybe ;-) Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment!

always welcome :)

It is interesting watching this portrait with a cosmetic mirror. What I like is the warmth in her eyes and this enigmatic smile. Beautiful.

I had a great model, even though I only knew her from photos back then. Thank you for your kind words :-)

Really good. Im (again) impressed by the artwork quality

Thanks a lot, your's is pretty good too!
