Drawings from an older Sketchbook

in art •  7 years ago

hey there!
I was checking out a one year old Sketchbook of mine and found two drawings that i personally liked a lot - so of course i thought... why not them here :)

In this one i remember consciously leaving the eyes blank, focusing on the nose, lips and shadows of the face. I did not draw from reference, just my phantasy, which made me be even more amazed by the result, as this was one of the most realistic faces i drew by that time :D

This rose was done to test out some new pencils i had gotten. I never really drew Natture/Flowers successfully on mediums other than oil/watercolour/aquarelles (influenced by bob ross maybe?) So i still was quite happy with the result.

Looking back at even one year old Artworks proves to always be very interesting. You dont only get to see how much you have improved, what kind of mistakes you used to do etc, but also find that sometimes you may achieve greater things than you think you are capeable of.
I hope you guys enjoyed those 2 Drawings st least a little bit. If you did so feel, free to show it by leaving a like :)
