Howdy folks. For those of you who are not familiar with DADA.nyc but who love to draw, you need to come join the conversation. Using drawing tools cooked right into the website, you can create a digital drawing from scratch, or you can add to a drawing that has already been posted by one of the hundreds (or is it thousands?) of other DADA contributors. Sometimes these drawings-as-conversations can go on for a dozen or more panels, and they can explore some fascinating ideas and graphic design techniques. Plus, the whole thing is incredibly FUN (primarily because of how friendly and non-judgmental the other contributors are!)
Here is a drawing that I completed yesterday (9 Nov. 2018) and posted at the site.
Since I posted my image, a handful of people have liked it, and one other artist (@opheliafu) has continued the drawing, taking it in a very cool direction. The collaborative aspects of DADA.nyc, along with the extremely friendly co-creators, make using the site one of the most fun (and sometimes educational) experiences available on the internet at the moment. Definitely worth checking it out!
AND there's something going on there about buying crypto-art from the site, as well, (not from me, but from the more senior contributors)---which I find exciting---and I might even try to buy some art some day, if I ever get rich enough to have "spending" money! But even without considering the crypto-art BUYING element, the site is a great time, and has some fantastic images up for folks to look at, enjoy, and even contribute to! Give it a shot!!!
