My Journey In Becoming An Entrepreneur!

My name is Riddhi, and like most people, I was groomed to be an employee and took the same path and – that is, finish a degree and get a good job.
It was my HSC Boards Examination when I was making a greeting card for one my childhood friend. I am very much interested in making new things using paper. Folding papers and giving it a new look is my happiness. My friend's birthday was in the same month of the boards exam and it was very important for me to give my best in the exams and score good grades.
After studying continuously for more than 8 hours I was tired and I decided to make a greeting card. The work started. I took different ideas from YouTube. And at last the greeting card was ready. It took me around 2 days to make it with breaks and my study time. By looking at that greeting card, the birthday boy was very happy. Like this I started making different types of greeting cards for my friends to gift them on their birthdays.
One day one of my friend asked me ,"Do you take orders too?" This sentence made me think on this topic should I sell the greeting cards. And the same friend gave me her order. That was my first order. By using my saved pocket money I bought craft papers, scissors , glue , decorating materials , etc. I placed that order. The girl was very happy with my work. I feel encouraged by her words. And this is how my orders came and this small business of mine is still going on.
But I faced many difficulties during this journey of my life. Making a handmade gift isn't easy. Keeping your customers happy is the biggest challenge. This greeting cards take a lot of time and hard work. Doing your studies side by side and handling this work too is difficult but that didn’t stop me. To make it work, though, I needed to wake up as early as 4 am and work my business.
Mind you, it wasn’t easy, and I can’t promise you that you’ll get the same results.
But what I can guarantee you is if you work hard and SMART, you’ll get amazing results from your efforts.
