Number four in the new serie on greek mythology.
Today I finished: 'ICARUS'

Background info from wikipedia:

Icarus (Latin) or Ikaros (Greek: Ἴκαρος) is a figure from Greek mythology, known for the flight together with his father Daedalus.
Because Icarus and Daedalus are imprisoned by King Minos in Crete, Daedalus thinks of a way to escape: he builds wings of a wooden frame, set with feathers in a bow fastened with wax. Because the wax can melt, Daedalus warns Icarus not to fly too high and close to the sun, but also not too low, because the wings would become too heavy from the seawater. In his enthusiasm, however, Icarus becomes reckless; he flies too high so that the laundry melts and he crashes into the Aegean Sea.
The story of Icarus is typical of the theme of hybris, which is common in Greek mythology; in this, a person is punished for his own pride or exaggerated self-confidence.

Amazing Photo bro @romaan-namoor

Thanks for your reaction, only it's a drawing, not a photo.
But appreciating your comment anyway. ;)

Warm regards!

This is awesome, love the sharpness of the piece. Even though it is black and white, it has extremely rich range of nuances, which leads it to have a really nice depth. Can i ask, what led you to choose the background? It looks really nice, but it doesn't remind me of Icarus, though i might be missing something :)

Thank you for the compliment @emilclaudell!
The choice of background isn't easy to explain. But in short, it's a scientific measurement of falling objects. which I converted and developed on the concept of my serie, where I combine realistic drawings with calculation or geometric diagrams.
So, you missed nothing... just my fantasy. :)

Ohh that is pretty neat. Very nice combo, you have got some skill :) Please keep sharing your art on here
