'Nightcrawler' - Snapshot drawing - Walnut ink on paper

in art •  9 years ago  (edited)

The best time to work on my drawings is at night.
When all is calm and quiet, my mind becomes silent. It helps me to come closer to myself in order to create.
And that loneliness ...  I've accepted that for a long time.

This piece shows a snapshot, but (to me) it's a symbol for one of those moments in 'working - solitude at night.'

Hey there! Awesome painting. Is this you? The figure looks so much like my brother, who is actually sitting next to me drawing, that I had to show him immeaditly. He said he got chills because he felt like he was looking at himself and is now obsessed. Is it for sale?

Hello Mahma, fantastic story. And it's really nice to read this.
Yes, It's an image of myself and I was very satisfied with the similarity (Even on this scale and with very few details, I can tell... it's me). So, maybe your brother and I are lookalikes. -SMILE!-

You overwhelms me with your question, if I want to sell it. I guess I have to think about that. Not that I don't want to sell my work, only this one is personal... so, I think about it, ok?

So interesting! Truthfully, I'm glad it is you; it certainly would have been stranger if you had said that that was a person you did not know, and I felt such a likeness to my brother. No intention to overwhelm or pressure you- it was my brother's first response so I thought I would pass it on. If anything, take it as a compliment that someone felt immeaditly incl8ned to want and pay for your work. :)

Oh, no worries... no pressure here, I just had to sleep on it. :)
It is a big compliment indeed when one is interested in buying my art. So, thanks for passing this one to your brother...

After a few thoughts I decided I can let go the drawing, so if you are still interested to buy it, I am willing.

And when it comes to a price, it would be right to think in Steem dollars. But, to be honest, I have no clue what to ask. So, what you would like to give?

Really great art, upvoted and followed!

I bow and thank you!
