This painting was one of the ones I did when I returned from my trip to California in 2011 and I travelled in Death Valley and Mojave desert fro a week that truly impressed me.
I was amazed by the micro life hidden in what looked like a hostile environment to live in. All these tiny insects and plants living off so little, such strong characters. This painting represented the magic I got from those little encounters.

Beautiful drawing of a desert flower, @romanie :) I think you captured the ruggedness of the desert sooooo naturally with your colour palette :) And the beauty and resilience of the flower are also palpable in this painting !
