Many years ago my 2 close friends and I were involved in 3d mapping, projection & art installation work. It was an amazing time filled with creativity & experimentation. We exhibited our art installations at outdoor psychedelic festivals, stayed up deep into the night manning our creations & pulling the long slog to sunrise to pack them down and make sure everything ran smoothly.
This video is a prototype of our holographic cube concept. A multilayer projection cube designed to engulf the sense in a beautiful and meditative sensory experience.
After prototyping this bad boy in our back yard we proceeded to build a large 2mx2mx2m wooden cube to scale up and really bring the idea to life for the festival environment! I will slowly update with more videos of our fully realised setup.
