Art advice from other artists

in art •  5 years ago

Watercolour and ink, on canvas A1. It's a short and simple message today. Being relatively new at the fulltime artist wannabe (and mom), I have so much to learn and so much I need to know. I spend endless hours on youtube watching others, getting inspiration from videos and learning as I go along. I had a lovely talk with a South African artist Tony Durrheim the other day. Gave me some great advice on medium, composition, pricing, and even just how to sell a piece of art. My message is just to listen to other artists. Critique is a good thing. Take it for what it is. They definitely know what they are talking about. But never loose your individuality.
