'Mt Earnslaw, New Zealand' - Art and Photography

I painted this oil painting last year outdoors (en plein air). The view is of Mt Earnslaw which is a high mountain near Glenorchy in southern New Zealand.

When I paint outdoors I use a much looser painting style as I want to capture the atmosphere and vibrancy of the location I am painting. I painted this on a summer's afternoon, the sun had already disappeared behind the mountain on the left.
