I painted this at the start of 2019. This is an oil painting of Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown, New Zealand. This painting is a commission and features this familiar view of the Remarkables Mountains and Deer Park Heights.
The time of year is summer where there is often dramatic weather and lighting effects on the mountains.
