I painted this en plein air at Taupo Bay, New Zealand last week. It was a beautiful sunny day and I spent the day painting on the beach. I love the beach and being out in the sun, so I decided to work in natures outdoor office.
The sun felt so good on my skin and being able to capture New Zealand's beauty on canvas outdoors en plein air is just the best!
I painted this art work in oils on a linen panel.

Clever photo of your work too (with the perfect alignment/overlay!). Talk about Real Life painting. I can just breathe the tranquil ease in balance with the ceaseless motion of nature doing her thing. Wish it were summer here, too! Will be asking for it to return on Solstice Day.
