Water Color Drawing for Magazine - Illustration for Story using Photo Colors and Black Pen

in art •  6 years ago

Dear Steemians,

Today I am posting the watercolour illustration done for the weekly magazine ‘TARANGA”

The story revolves around an elderly man, his son and his daughter-in-law.

Daughter-in-law 'Vasudha' wanted to go to some job and make a career. However, her husband refuses to send her out for work as she had to take care of her son and father-in-law. Even though she was a little disappointed, she took care of her son and father-in-law well.

One day on her birthday, her husband 'Vivek' gives a pleasant surprise. Vivek had purchased a small house for Vasudha in which she can run a handicraft business which makes her more than happy.

Mediums used:

Cartrdige Paper 120 gsm

Graphite Pencil 2B

Black Pilot Pen - 0.5 mm

Camlin Photo Colors - Portrait Pink, Warm Brown, Foliage Green, Scarlet, Dark Blue, Light Yellow, Deep Yellow and Stone Grey

Brush with Round Bristles

Image Editing: Photoshop

Once the colors are dried the drawing is finished using black pilot pen

I have used few graphic images in the background to show her colourful dreams and the complications in life.

This is the finished illustration

Hope you liked the drawing
