Water Color Drawing for Magazine - Illustration using Photo Colors and Black Pen - Serial 'Atithi' - Episode 5

Dear Steemians,


Today I am posting the process of the water color Illustration which is done for the fifth episode of the serial 'Atithi' being published in 'TARANGA' weekly magazine. 

EPISODE - 5

The elderly man explained the importance of the housewife in a family and how she takes care of the family to make the bonding stronger. He quotes the poem by eminent Kannada poet G S Shivarudrappa..

Woman...

Lights the lamp in every house

serves the food time to time

embraces husband and kids

Do you need another name?

Isn't it enough if I call you Woman?

At dinner time he explained the importance of food and the correct way of eating food to three kids. One should eat slowly, silently and always thank god for providing the quality food. 

Next day morning few strangers knocked the door. Veda opened the door and by looking at them she realized that they came searching for 'Rama'

When asked why they are here, one of the men told Darshana that there are few kids missing in their locality and they came searching for them. Darshana called all three kids and asked them to stand in a row. But nobody recognized Rama and they went away...

Mediums used:

  • Cartrdige Paper 120 gsm
  • Graphite Pencil
  • Black Pilot Pen - 0.5 mm 
  • Camlin Photo Colors - Portrait Pink, Warm Brown, Foliage Green, Scarlet, Dark Blue, Light Yellow, Deep Yellow and Stone Grey 
  • Brush with Round Bristles
  • Image Editing: Photoshop

The basic sketch is done with 2B Pencil 

Once the colors are dried the drawing is finished using black pilot pen and color pens
