I used to be a humongous fan of the original Gameboy Color Pokemon game when it came out and with the new movie devoted to this little electric mouse I decided to draw a peppy little Pikachu. I have a pile of drawings awaiting color so hopefully I will be able to show off some of my new painting styles shortly.
So cute! What a unique and charming drawing of Pikachu, @sewgeekgirl :D :D :D I love the pose and the energetic expression that you drew Pikachu in :D He seems like he's about to wreck some serious fun :D
Also, I like that you draw him in your own style, it makes the drawing feel fresh and exciting ! :D

You don't post very often.. Why? Your other works look cool. You should post a bit more often for the exposure. Maybe try adding a little bit more about the process and such. Especially when you decide to add color to your drawings that you saved up.. take more photos of the progression and include them. You may be surprised on how well your posts would do then.
As far as this one goes, I am not a huge fan of Pokemon, but I love the art! What did you use to create this one? Watercolor or markers? Digital?

I couldn't agree more thank you for your input. I am still getting my feet wet in the digital world of art and I was actually shocked to see the amount of exposure I got on just this drawing! I will be posting way more often thats for sure! I like to dabble with art supplies on this pikachu I used a combination of watercolor brush pens and believe it or not Crayola markers(since they are water salable they give me colors I usually can't find in the more expensive brands. I like feeling the colors on the paper. :) I do plan on going digital at some point but just doing it old school gives you a sense of accomplishment like the artists of a long forgotten era. :)
