In continuing with the idea of just "jumping in" and drawing when the mood takes me and get back into drawing and creating art on a regular basis, I bring you the second edition of
Something For Scrawly
This was a series that was inspired by @scrawly, a fellow Australian Steemian, and artist who is quite prolific on this platform. Please do check out their work. It's really quite good. The point here is not about skill though, but rather a return to something I was once passionate about, but developed a mental block towards. This is about smashing that mental block.
Something For Devyleona
@devyleona had a pencil based drawing tutorial on how to draw "Steamboat Mickey" that can be found here:
Better yet, why not post them underneath her blog entry?
I made quite a few mistakes with this piece, namely not using pencil as suggested, but I wanted for there to be a flow with what I am doing which I why I chose to use ink. Some of the scaling is wrong, which affected everything else, but for a freehand drawing in ink it's not bad. The key here is not exactly quality but to make the best, regular effort that I can.
I also needed to do something for the #seven77 movement but I haven't been able to contribute much of late due to health concerns.
Future art will be made just for my own amusement, but I do have to give something back to @scrawly and other artists who encourage others to be creative again.
The picture is good looking and I’m glad that you’re enjoying drawing :).
