Sold Works #5 (Hunt for Boognish)

Concerning Pop-Culture Imagery

Truthfully, I am against the idea of recreating pop-cultural icons for the purpose of making money as an artist or Tattoo artist, for that matter. It is lazy and shameful to profit off of other people's hard work. However...

Sometimes you are literally forced to do this, as many people have no interest in original ideas. For this reason, I sometimes have to cave in and feed my phallus to the mouth of the beast. Not for my own pleasure but, just to ensure the beast is happy enough to let me walk another 50'.

When In Rome

I try to limit what I do and do not portray concerning pop-culture icons. Boognish here is definitely an exception. I am willing to paint this happy little bastard over and over again.

This piece "sold" to a friend who took over half a year to pay me. The payment was cannabis oil which I required for treatment. It is a good thing my condition was not life-threatening at the time.

Take a moment to stab at me for drawing Jesus. He is the King of Pop-culture Icons. We will know for sure when my most recent drawing sells at a price that actually turns my life around.

Much Love!

dude, I'm literally about to write a rather lengthy post on the how hard it is for the artist to put a price tag on their work. it's one of the problems facing Steemit because people arean't really sure how much their post should be worth, let alone how much it is worth.
