Hey there guys.
@shayne here with a midway progress report for my comic Starfish Island, a Steemit exclusive webcomic!
Click the image to start the chapter from the beginning.
I thought that since there are 30 pages in this chapter and I've had 15 pages posted for a good while, I'd do a little progress report on how the comic has been doing.

My Thoughts
So far, not too bad overall.
It's strange how there seems to be a reverse correlation between earnings and views: the higher the earnings, the fewer views the page seems to have.
That's... weird.
Of course, a decent payout is nice, but I post these so that they can be seen and read by people, and when my highest earning page only has 5 views, that gives me a strange feeling.
To be fair, the pages with the most views have been around for much longer, so that much makes sense, and perhaps over time the newer pages will gather more views as time goes.
And actually, now that I think about it, that makes sense: because there will be people who are new to the comic when the new pages are posted, and they might go back to the first page to view everything they've missed up to that point.
What do you guys think?
Have you read the comic?
If not -- GO DO IT!
Yo it's definitely the second thing you said as far as views. I didn't even know u drew this, saw it the first time and went to the beginning to read it all and upvoted some of those pages. It's a pretty cool comic bro, great artwork!

I agree completely. When a wild @shayne appears it is best to pay attention.

I don't know why the votes and payouts vary like that, but I think original art like this should be doing better than this. There are a lot of mediocre posts on here that make more than they deserve, but it's all about who supports you. It's really up to the whales to decide who does well.

Very true @steevc
If they whales don't think that original art is valuable to have on Steemit, then it won't be valuable. That's about all there is to it lol.
