PXLPET is a community game which is powered trough your comments and engagement. It's about taking care of your own virtual pet. With each of these future blog post you'll have the chance to win a pet which will then find a home on a pixel art canvas. You decide if you want to trade, just collect your new friends or upgrade your pet's home. All trough the power of your comments. Take a look at the announcement post, here.

We have a winner!

Thanks everyone for participating! I used a random generator to chose the winner and the pet. I am happy to annouce that @slothicorn wins the new pet! Congratulation! I hope you like your new friend! I also started a special event this week. Thanks to all the people who played my little game called "PXLPXL". I know it was not easy! So there is a second winner today! Congrats to @justatouchfey for winning the first special event! And here are your new buddies!

How to Play

The rules are the same as last week.

You can become the owner of these cuties by commenting under the most recent PXLPET blog posts. If your comment gets randomly chosen you'll win the pet and your username will be shown above its head. Congratulation you are a proud PXLPET owner! Your pet will from now on live in a lovely video which will be updated regularly. In case you win again you'll get one more pet.

Everybody who wants to participate has to resteem the post and leave a comment. You have one week to participate. After that week the winner will be announced.

Those who read my first dev log already know that I finished some new pets. Let's have a look at them. I hope you like them.

Do you like the art? Let me know if you have special wishes for the pets. Sometimes it's not that easy to pixel a special kind of animal because my art style is quite minimalistic, but I will for sure try to manage your wishes!

If @slothicorn's pet doesn't have a horn, consider making that the first upgrade if they win again ;)

This is a fun little project, though that platformer was torture.

I never did figure out how to climb that first tree, no matter how I jumped I couldn't get up to the second block in the tree X/

Haha, that's a good idea! I made a walkthrough for the platformer. Just in case you have the patience to try it one more time. But I am honest, I made it not easy and sometimes tricking. :P

Thank you! I haven't played it yet but some people have told me before that there are similarities in the art style. But I heard from it after I came up with this style. :)

Yeah, I searched a long time to find music which fits! :) So you think it should be a real game where people can interact online at the same time? This would be pretty hard to program and time intensive I would say. But I would be able to make an singleplayer version which would be playable on the browser.

@shoumi all the PXLPET was so cute. How I wish that I can have a bunny. No worries little bunny, you will definately have enough carrots to eat....nobody will hide your carrots my cute little bunny.
