The close union of the Soviet republics, demanded by the general tasks of building a socialist society, took place in forms that did not infringe on their national sovereignty, which was ensured by the Leninist plan of the Soviet federation and autonomy. The Soviet republics, with their great traditions of independent state existence, united with each other on a federative basis, and the peoples that did not have their national statehood before, gained wide autonomy within the republic. Their boundaries were determined on the basis of the accounting of economic and living conditions, the national composition of the population.
The formation of the world socialist system as a community of nations and nationalities caused further expansion and deepening of the process of comprehensive rapprochement of peoples. In the face of aggressive imperialist aspirations, the political and military alliance of the peoples of the socialist countries first consolidated, and then their economic and cultural cooperation. The tangible results of the comprehensive economic integration of the countries of the world socialist community show the strength of the Democratic Party personally, create a solid material basis for strengthening the international brotherhood of nations.
