Happy Tuesday with the Foxy Girl and Dylan Thomas ^_^

in art •  7 years ago

To wish you my own "Happy Tuesday" I chose to sketch a foxy little girl and a nice beautiful quote by Dylan Thomas!

I really love the poem "Fern Hill" of D. Thomas, it touch my soul and my heart every times I read it.

Oh as I was young and easy in the mercy of his means,
Time held me green and dying
Though I sang in my chains like the sea.

So much feelings in the last words of this poem!  Dylan Thomas, in this poem, uses his childhood days to think about the "journey" from innocence to adult experience. Really inspiring.

Sometimes my creative process give me (or remind me) very nice moment. Today I start to think about foxes, so I sketched the girl who want to be a fox, after I searched a nice quote about foxes and so I found a piece of the wonderful poem "Fern Hill" and I read it again after many years. It was a nice chain of lovely facts ^_^

See ya soon

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks ^_^

Beautiful my dear friend! (But I still don't like D. Thomas)

Don't you like Thomas? I discovered him just few years ago (here we don't study his poems at school ^^) thanks the comic Dylan Dog. Do you know Dylan Dog? It's an Italian horror comic series very famous here and it talk about the adventures of this strange ""nightmare investigator". The name is a n homage to Dylan Thomas, but in the comics there are few poems and many horror stories ;) look at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dylan_Dog ^^

I know Thomas wrote "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog" (The only thing I could stand). I'll have to check out Dylan Dog!

Aha... Cemetery Man- that was me! I managed 3 cemeteries for over 10 years. They called me Dr. Death though!

lol ! Great!!! Well, I don't know if manage 3 cemetary was great, but it's really a great coincidence!!!! wow!

It really got to me after awhile... People get old and die- you expect that. But when young parents came in after losing a baby... that was too much. Don't tell on me, but I used to sit and cry with them!!!

Cuuute!

She's perfect! I love her expression.

Thanks so much ^_^
