The day I was returning home from Amsterdam Steemfest there was a Superfullmoon event globally. here are some images taken during that at Athens. Superfullmoon is when the moon comes to the closest eliptic point towards earth,
A Supermoon happens when a Full Moon or New Moon coincides with the Moon's closest approach to Earth; also called perigee. A Super Full Moon looks around 12% to 14% bigger than its counterpart, the Micromoon
The moon was the closest to Earth since 1948 at a distance of 356,509 kilometres (221,524 miles), creating what NASA described as "an extra-supermoon".

Beautiful images! I enjoyed last nights super moon from here in Queensland, Australia. It was awesome. Also caught a glimpse of it again at sunrise. Did not take any pics though, so have been really enjoying everyone elses photography of the event from around the world.
