[What IF GHIBLI make the StarWars Movie #1]IF프로젝트 1탄 스타워즈를 지브리에서 만든다면?

신년 기획 IF프로젝트는 상상속의 주제를 실제로 그려봄으로써 기술과 감각을 습득하는 기획입니다.
프로젝트 1탄으로 “스타워즈가 지브리 에니메이션이었다면?”을 준비했습니다.
본 주제로 3회에 걸쳐 연재될 예정입니다.
오늘은 첫번째 시간으로 영화 포스터는 어떤 모습일까? 입니다.

먼저 완성작을 보시죠.

Today is the first time, "What would a movie poster look like?"

Let's look at the finished poster first.

작업을 할 때 인물과 배경 두가지 측면에서 접근했습니다.

인물

초기 지브리의 인물 디자인은 둥글고 간략한 느낌이고 후기로 갈수록 디테일이 많아지고 등신비가 리얼해지는 경향이 있습니다.
본 작업에서는 두가지 스타일을 믹스해서 디자인했습니다.

인물을 그릴 때 고전 에니메이션의 느낌을 재현하기 위해 연필선을 그대로 가져왔습니다.
고전 에니메이션은 종이에 그려진 동화를 필름에 복사하는 방식(제록스라고 불렀습니다.)으로 제작되었기 때문에 연필의 부들부들한 느낌이 남아있는 것이 특징입니다.
2000년대 이후로는 컴퓨터 작업이 도입되어 스캔한 이미지의 선을 자동으로 깨끗하게 다듬어주기 때문에 연필선의 느낌은 이제 찾아볼 수 없습니다.
최근에는 동화작업부터 디지털로 전환한 곳이 많다고 알고 있습니다.

When I was working, I approached it from both sides of the character and the background.

Character

Early Ghibli's character design is round and simple, and recent details are realistic with lots of detail.
In this work, we designed two mix styles.

I used a pencil line to reproduce the feel of classical animation when drawing a character.
Classical animation is characterized by the feeling of pencil remaining because it is made in a way to copy the work drawn on paper to film (called Xerox).
Since the 2000s, computer work has been introduced to automatically clean the lines of scanned images, so the feel of pencil lines is no longer available.
In recent years, I know that many studios have switched from work to digital.

배경

지브리 에니메이션의 배경을 살펴보면 터치가 간결하고 컬러를 적게 쓰면서도 화사하고 깊게 표현된 것을 볼 수 있습니다.
치밀한 색설계를 바탕으로 특히 식물과 하늘, 바다 등 자연물에 대한 묘사가 섬세합니다.

Looking at the background description of Ghibli's animation, you can see that the touch is concise, and the color is sparse and deep.
Based on the precise color design, the description of natural objects such as plants, sky, and sea is delicate.

죄송하게도 제가 저런 재주까지는 없습니다.
최대한 색을 적게 쓰면서 고전 에니메이션의 배경느낌을 재현하는데 주력해봤습니다.

하는데 까지는 해볼려고 노력한 제 흔적을 비디오로 남깁니다.
