Welcome back everybody

After working on our little floating island scene for three episodes I decided I wanted to do something a bit more grounded - a landscape!

But to make it more interesting I added a volcano.

On closer inspection you can see that the scene doesn't feel right, that's because the lava isn't emitting any light, so let's fix that.

It already feels a lot better, but there is still a lot of empty space so let's fill it!

The trees fill the landscape nicely and they serve as a good surface to show off some shadows and the light from the lava.

looks good

I can dig some low-poly work. I've done 3D modeling before, and when you constrain yourself to only having minimal number of faces/polygons, some interesting things can happen.

Low poly also seems to be making a comeback at least in the indie game development arena. I think that's pretty cool too. Sometimes you just have to deconstruct and go back to basics for aesthetics.

Keep it up, I like how it looks!

I agree I think that minimalism can lead to beautiful results !
