Short circuit or fusion?

It is time now to take into consideration my portraiture painting.
There is a consistency and some sort of vibration in it that deserves some reflection.
My intention is precisely to point at the psychological dimension within the characters and to disregard the notions around the traditional artistic parameters concerning the great portraiture.

My art, despite being carried out with the same tools of the old masters (painting meant as a handy skill), is deeply influenced by the images proposed by the electronic media since the beginning of the third millennium. It is not by chance that my studio is occupied and shared by the tools of the artistic atelier together with the components of the electronic laboratory: two hemispheres belonging to the same planet.

How is the short circuit between traditional reality and virtual hologram triggered? By offering a pictorial image of the same penetrating effect as an electronic picture, with an extra dimension, a revolutionary one, freezing the virtual image onto the canvas using old techniques.

In a world dominated by fictitious media, declaring one thing but actually meaning another, our minds seem trapped in a dichotomy between illusion and delusion. Deliverance comes to me from craftsmanship, which gives me the ability, with provocative nonchalance , to flaunt the image of contemporary illusion and convert it in a pictorial "manufactured" physical reality.
