A painting I did, for no particular reason except I had an idea I thought was interesting, and wanted to try it out.
It's the Royal Fairy Trapper on the job, laying traps with Pukka petals, which are irresistable to fairies. If you look closely, you see he already has one (or maybe more) in his cage. Sorry the resolution is so low here.
Why does he hunt fairies? Not sure, maybe the Queen fancies their blood has rejuvenating powers?
Here's the initial sketch, well not the very first one, that had notebook lines in it, this version I started painting a bit on top in Photoshop

Ahh the Renaissance poses XD I'm glad the steel jaw traps are illegal now, they're the kind I would be stealing with no guilt whatsoever XP Final product looks pretty amazing, the addition of the glowing petals makes the trap make a whole lot more sense.
