My Owl Wall Decor is Finished!

in art •  6 years ago  (edited)

Finally! I found the time to finish my OWL. She is definitely a Queen. I hope you like her as much as I do. It shows on my face, doesn’t it? Big smile 😀

In the last post I showed you all the elements that I finished individually: the head, the wings (3 parts) and the tail. Meanwhile I made an additional element for the tail, to spike it up a little. Now I will connect all these parts. I use wire, same way one use regular thread. Like stitching 🧵.

After I put everything together, my Queen Owl looks pretty good. Like this:

I still want to add something. More beads😉. The final piece looks like this. I am totally happy with it. I am not happy with the quality of my photos, but I have no choice. My camera is my iPhone, and it’s not all that good.

Thank you for following my project and I hope I gave you a little inspiration... who knows? You might want to make something like that... If not that... I hope I put at least a small smile on your face 😊😊😊

Thank you, I am glad you like it. 😊

Amazing work. Love seeing your progressions on your pieces, and this one has been no exception! Congratulations on getting ti done!

Thank you, I love sharing my work-in-progress. I’m thinking what’s next now. Improvising is the name of my game. I want to work with whatever materials I have, left-overs from other projects, otherwise my little art studio will become a messy clutter!!!!

Sorry I have to start my comment by Disagreeing with something you said

my Queen Owl looks pretty good

But it looks far better than pretty good it looks amazing!!! how creative you are to make this

I am happy you like it. I was waiting for your reaction, it means a lot to me, artist from artist. I am modest in general, I don’t like to brag about my art pieces. I said it looks pretty good, meaning that I am satisfied with the result. Now I am thinking to minimalize the owl design for jewelry purpose. That means lots of scaling down and drawing on millimeter paper. I wish I could just resize the photo, print it out and play with the wire. It’s not so easy. 😊

I love it, It is such a cool and intricate piece, I may be a bit artistic with my camera, but with handicrafts I am not artistic at all, well not totally true and just between us, I was real good at Cross Stitch did may pieces over the years, and even ( without me knowing) won a competition back in NZ many years ago when my wife entered one of my pieces, first i knew of it was when she showed me the article where i was named as the winner lOL ,
I think its worth the work to try downscaling it, it would make an awesome jewelry piece

She is a Queen indeed! :) Love the finished piece @starjewel. You did a great job! I wouldn't even know where to begin if I tried lol

Thank you my friend. It was kind of hectic, because I had only a vague design idea and I realized that I have to measure the wings sides, to have some simetry. I prefer free hand for sure 😊

Wow what a pretty, you named it right too - QUEEN. It looks so good on the wall :)

What a beautiful piece of art work to hang in your home with pride, well done sharing your talent every step of the way.

Great work for the finished masterpiece @starjewel

Wooow, this one is something!! Delicate and precise work, I admire patience! Peace :)

That's super cool! I love seeing people make things with their hands. It will make you appreciate that piece of art so much more.

That is totally incredible!!

Dear @starjewel,

I thought I have seen what bead animals looks like. But when I saw your queen owl, I have changed my mind. People have never really seen what a bead animal looks like until they've seen yours.

Thank you for sharing them with us!

This is beautiful! I can't imagine how you make something like this but it looks amazing.

Thanks for sharing!

Such a BEAUTIFUL piece @starjewel. I love the fine hanging pieces at the bottom now and her beautiful head. Your owl is so contemporary and yet it could easily have come from another era ~ Thinking Art Deco and all the beautiful crafts made at that time. Congratulations on completing this incredibly intricate piece. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Only a small smile? I am grinning from ear to ear as this is indeed a masterpiece! Beautiful my friend!
Blessings!
