Drew A New Profile Picture For @inkpixie

in art •  7 years ago  (edited)

The other night I drew up a profile picture for @inkpixie.

She wants to start using Steemit more, finally, so hopefully a little color to her profile page will make it not so dull. What better than a custom made avatar for her Steemit page. Another thing that would help for sure is some interaction on her blog posts. I know it's hard for new Steemians starting out to get very many meaningful comments and I think that might be a serious deterrent for people trying to start here. I've told her to start commenting on other people's posts, and that will help get more followers to comment on her posts, but I'm not sure she believes me.

So, if you're not busy and I know your not because you're reading this, head on over to her latest blog and give it a read, a comment, and hopefully a follow.

Next step is a background image. I think that I'll wait until she gets back from New Orleans, though. She'll probably have some awesome pictures she can use to make something.

Baby steps, just like Steemit webpage development.

Steemit really should get a grip on the look of this site. It's so god damn white (or grey). For a site that is able to pay people thousands of dollars every day for quality content, this site is far from that quality content it's rewarding people for.

I'm hoping that one day we all log in and the whole site is changed to something better. Something that has been kept secret this whole time. The notifications will work, it will look more modern, and you'll even be able to do tasks like delegate, look up mentions, and see how much your vote is worth without a third party website. That would be ideal. I mean, why else would all this stuff go undeveloped for so long on Steemit.com?

I made the painting of @inkpixie with Procreate of course. Then moved it over to Graphic to add the text. That is the one thing Procreate is seriously lacking in. I mean, there is no way to add any text so it's literally "lacking" that feature. I get that it's a painting program but even some text feature would be better than nothing. It would help a lot for trying to design a unique text just to be able to type in something to get it straight and spaced properly.
