Bright-eyed, Bushy-tailed, First-time poster here! Heres some fake pokemon starters!

I like to draw stuff and sometimes attach a little narrative! I am still very actively taking lessons online and IRL, so I hope y'all enjoy watching the process of improvement! I'm excited to get involved with the art community on here!

Anyway, with all of the Pokehype lately I was feeling inspired. Here are 2/3 starter pokemon for a non-existent pokemon game.

#1 Jelliwoke (Psychic/Water)
Instead of stinging, the tentacles of Jelliwoke give one a glimpse of themselves fully self-actualized and happy. Most Jelliwoke believe that they're doing their trainer a favor, but often the gap between the glimpsed life and the trainer's actually daily life is too great. Some are haunted til the grave by memories of that unattainable, happy version of themselves

#2 Jellightened (Psychic/Water)
With a simple blink of an eye and a casual flick of a tentacle, Jellightened create an uncontrollable, irrational fear of drowning in their opponents. Then a subtle jiggling of a gelatinous head accompanies rising water levels in the area. Does the Jellightened bring the water, or is it conjured up in the foe's mind? Few have had enough strength of will to find out.

#3 Jelluminated (Psychic/Water)
It is widely believed that Jelluminated are much smarter than they let on. Some even suspect that they are smarter than humans. They disappear for long periods of time, offering no explanation, and only seem to battle when it suits their own obscure purposes. There are rumors of massive meetings of the Jelluminated on the deepest parts of the ocean floor.

#4 Cact-fu (Fighting/Plant)
Cacti are naturally some of the most body-conscious plants, due to the spines. Constant awareness and control of the body is needed when one is covered in spikes. As a result, many take up martial arts, or self-defense as much as for the greater confidence and ease of interpersonal contact that comes with control of ones prickly body

#5 Cact-thai (Fighting/Plant)
Illegal rocket-run pokemon fight clubs pay top dollar for a healthy cact-thai. Not only are they some of the most entertaining fighters to watch, but they often end up adapting very well to life in the fight pits. The cheering fans and rush of victory keep many Cact-thai in that world for their whole lives, some even developing a taste for gambling and drinking.

#6 Master Cactus (Fighting/Plant)
Watching a Master Cactus fight is a true marvel of the world. No motion is wasted, no hand or thorn out of place. But their stoic martial perfection makes them a difficult partner on the long and lonely road of pokemon training. Outside of combat they rarely move or speak, except to adjust their blindfold.
