Redrawing Chris Yuu Senpai of Diamond No Ace (FanArt 2017 --> 2020)

Hello beautiful people!


It's me Shei, and I finally found the time and motivation to draw again. :) YAY~!!!
Well, I am going to draw new ones soon, but for now, I'm going to show you a digital art of one of my favorite anime characters. Well, I have drawn him around 2 years ago... so if you're curious, you can CHECK IT HERE.

At that time, I drew him traditionally and colored him using colored pencils. However, for today's fanart, I drew a digital version of him. It's my first time to draw digitally this year, so I'm glad I didn't really struggle much with it. haha You know, we often lose touch of something when we don't practice or do it every day. :)

Anyway, let me show you the finished fanart as well as the process. I hope you enjoy it!





Ahhh~! He really is so handsome! lol And if you watch Dia no Ace, I bet you'd like character as well... and his voice is so handsomely great. fangirl spazz Sorry! Let's move on to the process. :)











Yep, I always draw the eyes first before drawing the line art of the character I'm doing. I don't know why, but I just enjoy drawing eyes a lot. And as you may see, I'm using Paint Tool SAI... As for the tools, I used XP-Pen drawing tablet connected to my laptop. :) Now, let's continue.











Next up is coloring the base color of the artwork. I'm still trying to discover how to use or adjust colors to make it more interesting. ;) I'll continue practicing for now. ^^








Then, I applied some shadows to the base color. I'm not good at it at all, but I'm trying to improve as I try to discover my own style of doing it. :) Well, I'm lazy to watch tutorials, so yeah... allow me to do it the hard way. haha





Lastly, I applied the background color. I don't know why I chose yellow, but I think Chris Yuu-senpai is just like the sun. He makes me happy! <3
